You Want to Use Visa

I was just setting here looking at somethings on my computer and thinking about a friend of mine.  He ordered some HCG through the link on this blog and payed by sending a money order.  Well, he is still waiting.  He ordered it back in October and sent the money order a little while later.

I'm going to work on building muscle after the first of the year.  I may gain to 200 lbs or possible 205 lbs.  I will of course be gaining muscle.  I figure maintaning a fit body isn't all about a low body weight but a low body fat level.

Longtime Without A Post

I've have noticed that I must be at the end of the line.  I haven't been able to stick with the low cal portion of the diet and have been staying between 187 lbs and 190 lbs.  I'm at 13% body fat, which is in the normal range for a man like me. 
 
I will be done with this round tomorrow and will complete phase three of the diet, the final stage when you won't need to do anymore rounds, and then change my strategy to putting on more muscle.
 
I hope that you thathave started this same journey will continue on.  You will not be disappointed if you  do.

Two Days Worth

I'm reporting two days worth.  I forgot to post yesterday. 
 
As far as yesterday goes,  I had lost .8 lbs, going from 190.2 lbs to 189.4 lbs.  This morning I lost 1.8 lbs more for a weight of 187.6 lbs.  That is a grand total of 64 lbs lost.  This is all since I start my first round of this diet on July 15, 2009. A little over two and a half months.  I've got to get some pictures to post.

Body Fat Percentage

I weighed 192 lbs this morning. 
 
Took some measurements and found myself just a little over 35" in the stomach and 40" in the hips.  These measurements with two others and my weight and age plugged into an online body fat calculator gave a 13% body fat level.  That is great.

Loading Days Over W/ Gain

Ok, I'm back on the low calorie for the next 46 days. 
 
 I have gained to 210.4 lbs without a major change in size.  This could mean that I gained mostly water and muscle.  My goal is to lose down to 10% +-.5% body fat.  I believe that should be achieved at around 190 lbs.

2 Days For 1

My internet wasn't functional  yesterday.  That is the reason for no post.
 
I gained 1.4 lbs yesterday and haven't lost any of it today.  I'm officially on my next round.  I will be loading today, tomorrow, and Sunday.  I expect to gain some during loading.  This is fine because the losses are dramatic at the first of each round.  I should lose all that I have left this round.  Elana and I are doing a 40 day round this time.

Lost Some More

I lost a pound from yesterday.  I'm at 202.  My weight and my house number are the same right now, ha ha.  That is 49.6 pounds lost.  I'm going to keep going.
 
The pictures were a flop this weekend.  I had my wife help me.  Neither she nor I noticed that my oldest daughter had filled our cameras memory with pictures.  That is over 300 pictures that were on that camera.  Well after I downloaded the pictures into my camera I figured it out and no longer had my wifes assistance.  Oh well, I'll try again later.

Another Crazy Weekend

This weekend was rushed and wet.  I was unable to post due to all kinds of circumstance.  But I'm back.
 
I gained some over the weekend and also lost all but .2 lbs.  I'm at 205 lbs.
 
I'm also wearing 34" regular Levi jeans now.  I haven't wore that size in more than 14 years. 
 
It feels great.

Losing and Losing

I'm down one more pound.  That puts me at 205.4 lbs for a total loss of 46.2 lbs.
 
I've found that I will lose some in the maintenance period anytime I eat an all protein day. 
 
Yesterday I had a fajita steak omelet for breakfast and lunch made with one whole egg and one egg white, plus about 50 grams of fajita steak and a quarter cup of cheddar cheese.  I also had three tablespoons of Smuckers All Natural Peanut Butter after lunch and for supper.  To drink I had three liters of water, a Diet Rite cola, and a sugar free caramel latte. 
 
Aspartame is a big no no on this diet.  Sweet & Low, Splenda, and any of the natural low calorie sweeteners are fine.  Of course the no aspartame situation cuts out most diet colas.  If they say sweetened with Splenda your good to go.

Weight Loss Wonder?

The title is what I've heard given to numerous pills out there that tought that you will lose weight with them.  Truth is that they usually only work as good as doing the recommended diet.  Which that isn't always good.  And then they can have some wild side-effects.
 
Well, that is all said to say that I'm very happy with the results of this diet.

I have entered another maintenance period.  So, this will mean a little fluctuation up and down with the possiblity of the general trend to be down.  I have to increase my intake through out this period eating genrally the same with the exception of adding a little fat to help get the number of calories I'm needing during this time.  It is hard to eat all the amount of food that it takes to take in 1800 calories without fat and starchy carbs.

Slow Losing

Ok, I'm down .4 lbs.  That puts me back down to 215.2 lbs.  1 lbs to go and I'll be down to where I was before this last weekend.
 
Friday is my wife's and my last day on the HCG for this round.  This time we plan a six week maintenance period before we start another round.  I lost close to 10 lbs on the last maintenance period.  That one lasted only 2 weeks for me.  It should have been a minimum of 3 weeks.  I believe that is why the weight loss has been tapering off so much.

I forgot to report on inches lost.  Saturday I measured and have to report that I'm finally under 40" in my stomach.  39.5" to be exact.  I am now around 18.4% body fat.  That is down from over 30% when I started this diet.

Wild Weekend

Ok, I've been slack on posting. 
 
I went on a church trip with my youngest son to see a Rangers game in Arlington.  I didn't get to choose the places to eat.  I had to take a free day (a day of free meals).  I ended up gaining 2.4 lbs.  This morning I weighed 216.6 lbs. 
 
Well, all this means is that it is time to get back on the horse.  That weight and some more will be off before we know it.

Lost Some

Great news.  I lost 1.2 lbs.  I down to 214.2 lbs and a grand total of 37.4 lbs lost. 
 
I had to do another correction day.  I don't think I'm getting enough protein right now.  I did eat a little out of the diet in that manner last round.
 
Another thing that may be slowing my losses is that I didn't wait long enough between rounds.  There is supposed to be three to six weeks of maintenance between rounds.  I was only on maintenance for two weeks.  I let my wife convince me to start my second round when she started her second round.  I didn't figure that it would hurt since I had to cut my first round short due to running out of HCG early. 
 
Oh well, I'm still losing.  Any way you look at it I'm losing faster than I would if I weren't on the diet at all.

Correction Day

Ok.  I seem to be stalled.  Therefore I have opted for a correction day.  That is a day you eat only protein.  If you have read "Pounds & Inches", you will know that Dr. Simmons, the originator of this diet,  had a person eating eggs all day.  The set up was 1 whole egg and 2 egg whites per meal.  You may choose to use Egg Beaters allowing for a small amount of cheese with them.

Your asking what perseverance has to do with this. Well, you will get elated over the major losses and forget that even the small losses or progress toward your goal. Occasional setbacks also call for perserverance.

Didn't Drink Enough Water

That what I said. I gained .6 lbs. The only reason to gain when your eating low cal and right is to not drink enough. It is critical to drink at least 2 liters of water. Big guys who do a lot and any woman who has a busy schedule should drink more. 2 liters won't sustain weight loss for them because they haven't drank enough to get their bodies out of drought mode.

"Drought Mode" is what I like to call it when the body is holding onto water because it doesn't see enough coming in for the level of activity. It will retain water in these cases causing weight gain. When you start peeing regularly and it isn't a dark yellow color you will probably have drank enough.

Also, something's that you may choose to eat will cause water retention even if they don't have a lot of calories. Broccoli makes my wife retain water. So see how things affect you.

A Little Help Ordering & Mixing HCG

I've had several people becoming confused by the online pharmacy website. I want to help everyone with that now.

The link opens up directly to the order page for the HCG I use. When the page loads you will see an inset window with a list of quantities and prices with "HCG PREGNYL 5000 I.U. (LUPI ZY - NEW!)" written to the left. Select the quantity of HCG ampules you would like to purchase. Then click the "Add To Cart" button on the right. After that, simply follow the normal checkout procedure. You should order the same number of ampules equal to the number of rounds of the diet you plan to follow. This will save you money on each ampule by buying in bulk.

The HCG will keep fine while contained in the ampule. Each ampule has enough for one person to do a 40 day round. If you want to do 20 day rounds than you may want to share the ampule with another individual. This is because the HCG is good for about 50 days once mixed to use sublingual,when kept in the refrigerator.

If you want to share with someone not living with you, you should mix the for sublingual then split it equally into to separate amber vials.

When mixing you you will need to get an empty amber vial from a local health food store. The smallest they have is best. It also doesn't need a dropper. Mix 8ml of purified water and 8ml of gin or vodka in the amber vial. Then snap open the ampule using a rag or towel to protect your fingers. Take a small amount of the water/vodka mix and dissolve the HCG. Then pour the dissolved mixture back into the amber vial. Close the vial and shake well. As I said before, keep refrigerated.

Now, you will need an insulin syringe with the needle removed to properly dose yourself. You will take .2ml twice daily, holding under your tongue for 10 minutes before swallowing.

Once you start the HCG, follow the protocol set forth in the Pounds & Inches article on the Happily Thinner After site. That can be found under "Articles" in the "Introduction to HCG" section of the site.

Something To Consider

Good morning.  I lost another pound as of this morning.  That puts me down to 217.6 lbs. and a total amount lost of 35 lbs. 
 
You know, I was thinking that there may be questions why my losses were reduced so dramatically.  Well, on Fridays my family and I eat out for lunch.  That is when I generally go and deposit my paycheck.  It is difficult to eat properly for this diet when eating at a fast food place and a restaurant that has a good selection takes to much time and money for us to go to on a weekly basis.  Well, that is the reason I have been taking advantage of something called "The Free Meal". 
 
The free meal is a meal you eat no more than once a week.  It does slow your losses, but it doesn't usually stop them so long as you eat a moderate amount.  If it does stop your losses, when you resume the low calorie portion of the diet they will usually return within two to three days.  Oh, and as the name denotes, the meal is free of the low calorie restrictions.

First Losses In Second Round

Elana and I both had good losses this morning.

I lost 2 lbs, dropping my loading gains down as many.

The cool thing, as I posted yesterday, is that my wife had no gains during loading and now has lost 1.5 lbs more.

I'm not posting her weight due to the typical feminine sensitivities. Mine on the other hand is 224.8. I'll start stating total pounds lost when I go pass the thirty I had lost before my loading days.

First Day Of Low Cal

Ok.  Loading is over.  Today through the 28th is 500 calories per day.
 
I gained, as expected, on the loading days.  I gained a total of 5.2 lbs.  Now, this might have been a little less had I paid more attention to my water intake.  But, gains are expect, as I've aready said.
 
Right now, I will be eating a lot of green leafy stuff with about 100 calories worth of lean meat and an apple or strawberrys for lunch and for supper.  I usually will eat an apple for breakfast.  I will drink lots of water.  I will have some tea sweetened with Sweet & Low.  All in all,  my total calories for the next 21 days will remain 500 or less per day.
 
An interesting thing, my wife who started with me this round, actually lost .4 lbs during our loading.  This does happen on occasion.  I'm glad for her.  She need that head start to keep her spirits up.  She started the first round before me and I lost more than her inspite of not getting to do a full 40 day round. 
 
By the way, there are 20 day rounds and 40 day rounds.  We started with a 40 day round.  We will continue with 20 day rounds until we have lost the weight we need to lose.

Loading Days On A New Round

Great News, I received my HCG for my next round, yesterday. So, I've started loading. Loadin is a 2-3 day period at the beginning of each round where you eat anything you want as long as it includes plenty of protien and fat.

I've gained 2 lbs. This is partially from loading and partially from not drinking enough water yesterday.

Gain Lost & Reporting On Inches

Hey, I told you. I lost the pound. It's just a matter of drinking plenty and watching what you eat to maintain.

By the way, I may need to put in some links that will help you determine your BMI and the limits you will have on calories. I'll probably do that this evening.

On my inches, I was wearing 40" waist pants when I start. I can wear 36" pants now. I was 46" in the stomach. I'm now 41".

On body fat content, I was over 30% when I started. I'm now 21%.

Slight Gain

Well, I gained 1 pound. When I weighed this morning I weighed 223.6 lbs.

You might be saying that I'm on the way to gaining my weight back. Well, you would be wrong. You see, this isn't the first time I've seen gains during this diet. I tend not to drink enough water on the weekends and that is one cause. The other is eating out can have it's difficulties. It is of no consequence. During the week I get more water down and eat better. This causes me to lose what I gain on the weekends, plus some.

By the way, I happen to be on my first maintenance phase. My weight is expected to fluctuate some. I'm actually losing a greater amount than normal for being in this phase of the diet. I will soon be starting another round of HCG and will probably drop around 15-20 lbs.

So, if my gain is cause for concern about the diet not working for you, don't worry, it's part of the experience.

Reporting Late

Well, I have been doing the HCG diet for six weeks. This is what I looked like before I started. I weighed 251.6 lbs. I have lost 29 lbs as of this morning.

I plan to blog daily on my progress through this diet.
